Sam has been rescued from the pound and we now have a bit more information on him. It is still unclear whether he ended up there as an owner surrender or picked up as a stray. Sam is a really nice boy who likes people and likes his crate! Sam also does well with other dogs. It is very hard to decide if Sam is an ancient pure bred dog or if he is a really old mixed breed RR. He really could be either. His coat is that of an old dog, long, unkempt, and very faded. He has a ridge that has grown long with age and someone docked his tail. His teeth are in fabulous shape though - white and clean and healthy looking (after a cursory inspection).

Sam is a wonderful old dog - surely there is SOMEONE out there who will give Sam a soft place to rest his old bones for the remaining days he will have left to him? A kind and loving person who will give him good food, warm bedding and kind words is all this old dog asks in his twilight years.
